Who is Edplus for?
Edplus is aimed at individuals of all ages who wants to learn and study effectively.
What can you study with Edplus?
Over 200 topics can be studied with Edplus. Everything from learning languages to passing tests. If we haven’t got what you’re looking for then let us know and we’ll see if we can help.
Is the learning personalised?
Yes – we have a personalised learning system developed by Professor Francis Brown. In brief our app will focus most on getting every item of knowledge that you are trying to learn to mastered. Those questions you have demonstrated you understand you will see less off and vice versa.
Can I use Edplus on different devices?
Yes, it works on most popular devices, including iPhone and Android. As long as you create an account you can sign in and pick up where you left off.
Does it work offline?
Generally speaking, no – Edplus apps require internet connectivity in order to send information to the algorithm to adjust the difficulty level. However, if you go through a tunnel etc. then it will carry on working for a short time as we do buffer questions for these events.
Who can upload video questions?
Anyone can upload videos. However for us to review and potentially include videos it is essential that you have created an account. This is to allow us to contact you about your videos, to enable us to identify your videos as being connected to you and to ensure that you have read and understood the terms and conditions for user generated content. In particular if you are under 18 you must have the permission of your parent or guardian before you upload video content.
What's required for videos to be published?
When we review videos there are few basic criteria we have. Firstly the video should clearly ask the question. Secondly the person asking should be reasonably framed. Thirdly videos need to be in focus and not too dark. Finally all videos must adhere to common standards of decency. Meet all of the above and more often than not we’ll publish your video!
What happens when a video is published?
Once we have published your video it will be added into the app. In practical terms this means that other learners will see your “video question” if they are studying the question you recorded. Where there are multiple videos per question we sort them in a random order.
What if a video is recorded twice for the same question?
If you record a second video for exactly the same question that you previously submitted then this will override the first video that you recorded. Only one video recording is held per question for each learner.
What if I want to change my video once it has been published?
To change a video that has been published you will need to wait till you are asked that question again. Then simply make and submit a new recording. This will override the first one.
Can I have a video I created removed from the app?
Yes. The easiest way to do this is when you are on the question that you submitted a video for, go the menu button, tap on feedback and make a request that the video is removed. Alternatively email us firstname.lastname@example.org. We will remove your video within 24 hours.
What makes a great video?
Hmmn… good question. We love seeing the creative and fun ways that some questions are asked. If you can bring the question to life in some way that’s really cool. If it makes you smile it probably will make us too!
Is Edplus free?
We want people to be able to try Edplus and see if it suits them. So… when you first install the app you are given 3 credits for free. These can be used to unlock any 3 topics in the app. However if you wish to unlock further topics then you need to get more credits. This can be done either by earning credits or buying them/subscribing.
Ways to earn credits
You can currently earn credits in the app by 1/ creating an account 2/ using the app 5 days in a row (a 5 day streak) 3/ everytime you refer a friend and they install the app via your link.
Subscribing or buying credits
Within the app you can subscribe (which unlocks everything) or buy additional credits. Go to change topic and you will see a link to “get more credits”. Alternatively (if you have an account) we will send you an email when you are short of credits and you can buy them direct from your inbox.
